I am blind, but I can see

Everyday I get up.
I awake with fear...
Of what the day will bring.
I cannot see.
I cannot see the beautiful colors that God has painted the sky with.
Nor my mother’s beautiful blue eyes.
Most things are done for me, I am not independent.
I cannot read the emotions of someone, which I find devastating.
But there is a plus to not being able to see if someone is sad, happy, or mad.
You learn to treat all people the same.
Treat them with the same respect that you would give to your grandmother.
Do not judge them based on their decisions they have made.
There is a reason why they did this & that.
I do not have any idea of what’s going on with people, or how they’re feeling,
Because I can’t see their emotions…
But, in all reality, isn’t that everyday?
You never know what’s going on in someone’s life.
You cannot truly see all their struggles, their pain, or how happy they really are on the inside.
You may hear them talk about what you think is going on in their life but,
They could be lying.
They could be covering-up.
You do NOT know what is going on in their life.
Quit acting like you do...
Just be polite.
And kind.
It’s that simple.
People are so infatuated with looking good,
That they judge people based on if they’re a good-looking person or not.
Try your best to see the true beauty in people.
Deep down, we are alike.
We all are more alike than we are unalike.
I cannot see, but,
I can see the kindness & love in people’s souls.
I have learned to judge people based on their personalities, not looks.
If you were blind, who would you impress?
