Tough Cookie

To you she is unbreakable.
She's a tough cookie,
Someone you can't quite figure out,
She's the one you can't quite see through.
You don't know her because you aren't in her shoes.
Cliche, right?
You see the person she wants you to see.
She is happy.
She loves school.
Life is fun.
She strives to be a successful student.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, and even more WRONG.
She puts on a happy face - she thinks nobody needs to know her problems.
Learning is great, but school causes her unnecessary stress.
Her life is manageable.
She never wanted to be a successful student;
She is getting as far away from her fears as possible.
Here is to the "tough cookies,"
The ones that can work through their problems alone,
You are everything she could have ever asked for.
