The bitter smell of rain and damp earth
Glassy puddles
Shattered by yellow rain boots
A wayward scarlet leaf, flittering to the ground
Amidst the vibrant orange pumpkins
The spicy aroma of cider
Wafting from mugs clasped by friendly hands
Caressed by soft sleeves
My beautiful mother
Her endless love
And loving hugs
Playful flames frolicking in the hearth
Warm laughter floating through the rafters
