People are a strange thing
We are all so different, yet the same
Some kind, some rude
People change all of us in one way or another though
Some make us think
Am I good enough? Why can't I be more like them? Do these people even like me?
Some make us shut down
Going into autopilot, trying not to blow up, kindly nodding and smiling, wondering if they ever stop talking about themselves
Some remind us of a time long ago
When your only worry was if you would beat your friend to the end of the playground and back
Some make us think of the future
Where you can only hope that they will still be there
Some make us happy
Your face lighting up as you see them walking towards you
Some make us cry
With truthful insults throw our way,
Some make us smarter with their advice

Some inspire us
To be the best we can be and never give up
Some just listen
Which is sometimes the most important thing anyone can do
Some make you laugh
Yelling silly animal noises and giggling about inside jokes
Some push us
They are not going to let us quit, pushing us until, we push ourselves
Some you will never forget
They are apart of your favorite memories
Some you wish you already forgot
But even those people the ones that hurt us, so much all we want to do is forget
Even those people change us
