Funeral Customs

Mom says I have to wear black.
We order a bouquet with a card expressing our condolences.
At the front of the church,
An open casket rest with the body inside.
A family member or close friend recounts how amazing they were.
Everyone sings and listens to scripture.
Afterwards, we drink coffee and eat cheesy potatoes and ham.
When we finish eating, we go to the cemetery and watch
As the casket is lowered into the ground.

How morbid.
