Lil Spark

 

        Lil Spark 

            There has always been this churning 

            A fire sparking from within 

            There has always been this passion 

            To make the world right again 

            I have always had this compass

            Pointing me on my way 

            I am not afraid and I know one day 

            I will not feel so lost 

            I will walk with power in my stride 

            I will not feel insignificant 

            I will know who I am inside 

            I will not shy away 

            I will not fear this "one day"

            I will face with courage  

            I will not stand back 

            I cannot simply watch 

            Always prepared to attack 

            I will not hurt the innocent 

            Only those who have done great harm 

            I know that one day we will all walk arm in arm 

            I know that this is possible 

            And you cannot change my mind 

            It is people like you who are keeping us behind 

            I know I will do great things 

            I know I will try my best 

            I just cannot help but wonder

            Will I pass the test 

            Will I become all that I dream 

            Will the fire stay aflame inside me

            I choose to surround myself with people 

            Who will not put me out 

            Who will shelter my flame from the storm 

            Who will keep me set ablaze and warm 

            Those who will stand right beside me 

            Those who will not shy away 

            I am determined 

            I am destined to be strong 

            I will stand up for the weak even if it means I must lay down 

            But I promise not to fear 

            When the road becomes too dark 

            I promise I will always hold on to that Lil spark
